Why organic is the Better Choice?🌿

At KarmaKarma, we’re not fans of vague promises or hidden ingredients. We stand for honest flavours made with the best ingredients. That’s why, since day one, we’ve consciously chosen to use certified organic ingredients.
Why? Because we believe what you eat has a real impact on your personal health, but also on the planet! Eating organic is a choice that goes beyond yourself.
What does “organic” actually mean?
Organic ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers. Instead, organic farmers use natural methods to protect crops and maintain healthy soils.

Organic products can carry the official organic label (see photo), a strict European certification that monitors the entire chain, from farmer to store. We receive an annual organic inspection, while Belgium’s food safety authority (FAVV) has only visited us once. Organic is therefore much more strictly controlled than conventional food!
Is eating organic healthier?
Eating organic means: more of the good stuff, less of the bad. No pesticides, no artificial additives like synthetic colours or flavours, just food that is grown as naturally as possible.
Conventional food often contains residues of chemicals. It’s hard to prove the direct impact, but many studies suspect that certain pesticides can cause diseases such as cancer.

Glyphosate, previously found in the well-known pesticide RoundUp, is now banned for consumer use* but is still used in agriculture on grains. It is classified as “probably carcinogenic”*, yet still applied to conventional cereals. Glyphosate is also suspected to be linked to rising rates of gluten intolerance and the increase in Parkinson’s disease, although further research is needed*.
None of this is very comforting... so if you want to eat chemical-free, you need to choose organic. In short, organic food is the only form of personal protection while chemicals remain allowed in the food system. Europe aims for more organic farming and fewer pesticides, but there’s still a long road ahead as it puts farmers’ profitability under pressure.
Organic = more sustainable
Organic farming causes less pollution, supports biodiversity, and protects soil health. It uses water, energy, and resources more consciously, leading to less depletion and more space for regeneration. Avoiding chemicals also protects bees and other pollinators crucial to our food system.
Why KarmaKarma?
KarmaKarma uses only certified organic ingredients, without chemicals or unnecessary additives like preservatives or colourings we know can be harmful. This way, you can enjoy every bite with peace of mind.
But we go further… KarmaKarma only creates healthy recipes. Not everything that’s organic is healthy. A chocolate bar can be organic, but if it’s loaded with sugar, it’s still not a healthy choice. Likewise, not all “healthy” products are organic or chemical-free.
We solve that dilemma for you. At KarmaKarma, we combine both: 100% organic and 100% healthy recipes.
